ADZHIS: Report
EVA bxl is working with some motivated partners on an innovative model of inclusive community care for the elderly in the Helmet neighborhood of Schaarbeek. The model is being built by and for the elderly.
Seniors in vulnerable Brussels neighborhoods still do not recognize themselves enough in the (home) care offer and therefore rarely make use of it. Because the frames of reference of professional care services are tightly regulated, there is a need for more flexibility. Thanks to the Co-Create program of Innoviris, in the first project phase we investigated what preconditions are needed to improve the well-being and quality of life of the elderly. We organized workshops in which care professionals but also volunteers, seniors and informal caregivers participated. There was a wealth of information and we set to work with it.
