EVA bxl is a development organization, a social lab.
EVA bxl loves people. And of Brussels. And of people in Brussels. Here we are especially happy with innovative ideas that advance the lives and well-being of the people of Brussels. We conceive, develop, test and evaluate initiatives and trajectories around well-being, housing, education and employment, always together and in dialogue with the end user. Baobab assists Brussels residents in obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education through on-the-job training and experience.
To assist The Baobab students during their work/study journey, EVA bxl is looking for a coach, GECO contract (see GECO terms below).
What are you doing?
- The coach is committed to increasing the success rate of the preschool teacher-in-training (KIO) during the qualifying process. The coach does this by making thresholds manageable.
- As a coach, you follow the KIO study path.
- You will follow up with the KIO during employment in the partner school of elementary education.
- You organize formation weeks for the KIOs.
- You are the contact person for the mentor teachers of the KIOs.
- You develop a warm network among KIOs and encourage ownership.

- You are a Brussels native.

- You have experience in coaching.
- You are creative, solution-oriented and eager to learn.
- You have a special interest in intersectionality, inclusion, bottom-up work, informal networks and a multitude of life experiences.
- You are a connecting listener who can translate stories of groups into needs.
- You feel at home in very diverse environments and groups.
- You are bilingual/multilingual and have an excellent command of Dutch both written and verbal as you will be responsible for writing reports and records in this position.
- You are proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media.
How do we see it?
You will be part of a team of 10 colleagues and 20 volunteers. We provide a walk-in program and internal training to get you started within the organization and ongoing appointments.
- Full-time GECO open-ended contract PC 329.01 Barema B1b. Experience will be taken into account.
- Recruitment as soon as possible.
- 38h week within a 36h time regime within the terms of Joint Committee 329.01 translated into 12 additional vacation days.
- This job involves sporadic evening and weekend work.

Important to know what conditions apply to a GECO contract!
The conditions are:
- Be registered as a non-working job seeker for 6 months during the year preceding employment;
- or 1 day of full benefit entitlement, if you are over 40;
- or already working within a co-contract
