Event May 6: Building inclusive palliative care together

“What does a good end life mean to you?
With that question, we stepped into Mint Point last summer. We listened. And we got 240 answers. Brussels residents shared their stories of dreams, of what gives them footing, of beliefs, convictions and expectations. Brussels spoke – loud and diverse.

But what if you are truly incurably and life-threateningly ill?
Then do you find the care and support that is right for you? Are you seen for who you are, with your background, values and needs?

In hyper-diverse Brussels, many people encounter barriers to care – including in the last phase of life. With Amori, EVA bxl and its partners, under the guidance of Fabruka, want to lower these thresholds together. For people who are terminally ill, and for the people around them.

At EVA bxl, we believe in co-creation. New initiatives never arise behind closed doors, but together with the city, its residents and its partners. During this evening we will take you through the process of Amori:

  • in the stories Brussels residents shared with us,
  • In the needs we uncovered together,
  • and in the solution model we are building today.

This evening is also a thank you. For everyone who thought, listened and built with us.

We conclude around the table: your insights and points of interest will help determine a warm and qualitative start to the testing phase of Amori in a Brussels neighborhood.
