How do you do social innovation?
EVA bxl does this through its “5i model”: 5 phases an initiative goes through to be successful, i.e., empathize, interpret, ideate, implement, iterate and valorize.
Today we are training our new EVA bxl colleagues in applying it in their innovation projects. Because for EVA bxl, the impact on social inclusion starts from the question of social needs. This can be either a care need or a socioeconomic need. Once it is clear what the needs of our target groups are, we start EVA bxl with a participatory path described in the 5i model.
This model was developed in 2017. Based on the numerous practical examples from 20 years of development work, EVA bxl uses it to valorize its know-how. The model is dynamic, flexible and adaptable to different contexts. It is a circular process of learning and adjustment based on the principles of service design.
