Baobab students make a difference during Reading Week!
During the Voorleesweek, our Baobab students and mentor teachers put their all into immersing preschoolers in the magic of stories. Reading aloud is not only fun, it is a powerful tool to stimulate Dutch language development – a crucial pillar within Dutch-speaking preschool education in Brussels.
But did you know that language stimulation goes far beyond a pretty story? Our students do this in creative ways: expanding vocabulary when putting on coats, opening a surprise box and naming objects together, language corner work around decorating masks, giving words to the weather by making it rain on umbrellas.
