Join us as a partner in the development of our new cultural-sensitive palliative care initiative.

EVA bxl wants to use the initiative culture-sensitive palliative care bridge figures in the last phase of life of people én their environment to ensure more inclusive care.

On this “Day of Care,” we call attention to culturally sensitive care, including in the last phase of life.

Brussels today has a hyper-diverse population. 71% of Brussels residents have an immigrant background. (Bisa ’24). Also 1 in 3 Brussels senior citizens have a diverse background. It is very drastic for people and their surroundings when they receive the message about a life-threatening illness. Thinking about how one wants to shape that last phase of life requires a unique, inclusive and person-centered care approach. Attention to new farewell and mourning rituals is also increasing.

That’s why EVA bxl is starting to develop a new service. ARE YOU BUILDING WITH US?

We are looking for partners and people from Brussels who want to think, develop and test how a culture-sensitive bridge figure can be engaged in the last stage of a palliative patient’s life.

Answer our question “What is a good end of life for you? and leave your details. We will be in touch for the development phase.
