Student Teacher (x/f/m)
Do you dream of becoming a teacher in Brussels? Would you like to work with children in Brussels? De Baobab is here to help you make that happen!
As a working student, you’ll combine your bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or elementary education with hands-on experience at a Brussels elementary school, so that after four years, you’ll be ready to teach a class on your own.
The Baobab is an initiative developed by EVA bxl,the social lab of and for Brussels residents.
What to expect.
- You will be employed full-time
- Three days a week, you’ll work at a Dutch-language elementary school alongside a mentor teacher.
- You’ll attend the program two days a week
- “Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education” at Erasmus University College Brussels or
- “Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education” at Odisee Brussels
- You’ll be part of a close-knit team of Baobab students who are all following the same program.
- You will receive one-on-one guidance from a professional coach
What do we expect from you?
- Model 2 good conduct and morals
- Be a resident of the Brussels-Capital Region or the Brussels suburbs
- Secondary education diploma (awarded through the 2024–2025 school year) or secondary secondary education teaching qualification 4 (awarded starting with the 2024–2025 school year) or associate’s degree
- Sufficient proficiency in Dutch: C1
- Any other language is an added value
